As a 20y/o first time mom, motherhood and parenting can seem very overwhelming at times. Though, this book single-handedly prepared me and eased my mind for what’s to come as I am still currently pregnant. I was told about this book when I was pregnant with my first. I now have two daughters and I bought this book for a friend, a first time mom. If I have one gift I give every friend becoming a first time mom, it is this book. It has changed my life, both of my girls started sleeping 7pm-7am around 2-2.5 months and I can't recommend it enough. If there is one book any mom or parent should have, it is this one.
I cannot overstate how helpful this book has been - i have read it front to back multiple times and refer back to specific sections all the time. I had my first baby 3 months ago and had no idea how to look after it. For the first two weeks before i found MOC i relied on instinct but after being recommend this book by a friend we started the routines and quickly our whole family started to function in harmony. By 3 months my baby slept through the night (12 hours) and i have confidence in every part of his care. Also listen to the podcast - it has so many good tips and keeps reminding parents that they are doing a good job. Thank MOC for saving the sanity of families and providing actionable guidance amongst so much conflicting and frankly unrealistic information on the internet.
