We know you've got your hands full with parenting two or three little ones under two years old (we have been there), and we're here to help you conquer the chaos. Bringing multiple children into the world is an incredible journey that can be both challenging and rewarding. Moms on Call is here to help you navigate this adventure gracefully and easily (okay, probably not much ease and maybe not that graceful). We'll share some valuable Moms on Call tips and strategies for managing the chaos and making the most of this incredible time.
Routine, Routine, Routine.
One of the cornerstones of Moms on Call's approach is creating a consistent daily routine. This helps everyone in the house know what to expect and when to expect it. Predictability is your secret weapon. Shoot for at least one nap, where all kids are simultaneously down for at least an hour. If you need help creating or transitioning through routines sooner, connect with a Moms on Call Consultant.
Parenting with a Partner.
If you have a partner, it's time to tag-team like pros. Divide and conquer – one takes care of diapers and feeds, while the other distracts or puts the older one(s) down for a nap. It's all about sharing the load.
Create Safe Zones.
Invest in baby gates and create designated safe areas within your home where your little ones can explore and play without constant supervision. This not only keeps them safe but also allows you some breathing space. Safety and sanity go hand in hand.
Keep easy, ready-to-go snacks on hand.
Having snack items ready can allow you to strap them in those highchairs for a “snack-time” activity quickly to buy you 3.5 minutes.
The Moms on Call Bedtime Routine.
Again, divide and conquer if needed. Have a bedtime routine involving bathtime, tender time (even if not so tender), feed (if needed), and get down for the night. Creating a great bedtime routine will help everyone know it is time to settle in for those long stretches of sleep. With Moms on Call, you will begin to help them establish solid sleep patterns, making those nighttime wake-ups less frequent and more manageable. A good night's sleep is within your grasp!
Don't Forget About You.
Don't be afraid to ask for help from family or friends. You deserve some "me time" to recharge. That may be 5 minutes in the morning or a nice bath after the kids go to bed. Find what allows you to be ready to tackle the things ahead.
Flexibility is Key in Parenting Little Ones.
Life with multiple kids under two is wild, and it won't always go according to plan. That's okay! Have a couple of reset points built into your day. We call them “C” times or Crazy day times, where you get things back on track. Remember that no plan is foolproof, and flexibility is key to maintaining your sanity. Some days will be more chaotic than others, and that's okay. You've got this!
Use Your Moms on Call Scheduler App.
The Moms on Call Scheduler App allows you to add multiple kids and have their routines side by side. You can adjust and transition to the next routine for each kid to work for your family.
Having two or three kids under two years of age may come with its share of challenges, but you CAN navigate this incredible journey with confidence, and remember, don't be too hard on yourself. You are the most essential tool in your parenting toolkit.
