Homemade Popsicle Fun

Summer is here, which means long days outdoors in the hot hot sun! What better way to end a hot summer day than with yummy popsicle fun!? From little ones trying new fruits and veggies to seasoned toddlers, we've made a quick how-to guide to get you started!

Let's start with some quick tips!

  • Always be aware of possible allergies.
    • If you are starting to introduce solids to your baby, keep in mind to start with fruits and veggies the baby has already tried.
  • Popsicles aren't just for fun!
    • They can be a great pain reliever on a baby's gums when teething.
    • When your little one is under the weather, a popsicle can be an additional source of fluids if they are having trouble at the breast or bottle!
  • Large chunks of frozen fruit or veggies can be a choking hazard, so blend until completely smooth.
  • Place a cupcake liner underneath the popsicle for catching the popsicle drip!
  • Have fun!

Breastmilk/Formula Popsicles for 4+ months:

  • Blend 1 cup (8oz) of breastmilk or pre-mixed formula with a choice of pureed fruit.
    • PeachesApples
    • Pears
    • Avocado
  • Blend well in a blender.
  • Pour into molds and freeze
  • Enjoy!

Fun Toddler Smoothie Popsicles for 12+ months:

  • 1 Cup of Greek yogurt
  • 1 Cup of fruit
    • Strawberries
    • Blueberries
    • Mango
    • Avocado
    • You can mix and match!
  • 1 Cup milk of your choice (whole milk, almond milk, oat milk, etc.)
  • Blend well in blender.
  • Pour into molds and freeze
  • YUMMMM!!
