I am a devoted wife to Ryan and Mama of two, Lena born August 2017 and David born February 2021. I have loved being a registered nurse for nine years and have experience working with babies, children, and adults. This experience has afforded me the chance to work closely with patients and their families educating and encouraging them during an uncertain time in their lives.
One of my greatest joys as a nurse and Moms on Call consultant is the opportunity to build and foster relationships with families. My desire is to support parents in their journey to become confident and well rested in the midst of the chaos. I remember what it feels like to be exhausted and overwhelmed. But I also remember how encouraged I felt seeing Moms on Call work so beautifully with my own babies. Whether it’s showing you how to achieve the perfect swaddle or providing reassurance when nothing seems to be going “right,” I want to walk alongside you.t I also remember how encouraged I felt after reading Moms on Call and seeing it work so beautifully first hand with my own baby. Whether it’s showing you how to achieve the perfect swaddle or providing reassurance when nothing seems to be going “right,” I want to walk alongside you.

Shelley began her journey with children babysitting from a very early age, going on to work with children in day care while in high school, and then helping raise her sisters while working her way through college. Her love of children has always been in the forefront of everything she does. Shelley prides herself, not in just being a “Jill of all Trades,” but rather, a “Master of Many.” Shelley is the mother of three amazing and active children, and is most proud of the love that abounds in her home between this trio. With the support of her husband, Joseph, Shelley credits her ability to calmly navigate the “surprises” that arise in an active household to her years working as a Trauma Nurse in the only Level One Trauma Unit in the state of Mississippi. This and her time spent as an Orthopedic Nurse, prepared her for triaging tiny warriors, calming their fears, and keeping loved ones informed and educated. Shelley’s love of Christ and family, combined with a no-nonsense approach to the care and love of those who are searching and in need of support/guidance in parenting, make her a perfect choice when in need.

April is a wife, Momma of 4 kiddos, and has worked as a registered nurse for over 18 years in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Her dream even as a young child was to be a “baby nurse.” That dream was fulfilled when she graduated from ASU and had to opportunity to go straight into doing what she loved- working with babies. After a relocation in 2018 to the Charlotte, NC area- she discovered Moms On Call and was elated to partner with this amazing group of Nurses to continue working with families and their little ones, outside of the hospital setting. April knows firsthand, the excitement as well as the stress that bringing home a new baby can cause. Babies do not come with instructions, but having an experienced mom and nurse to walk along side you can make all the difference in the world during this time of adjustment! Having her own experience teaching her 4 kids healthy sleep habits early on, April has seen firsthand the miracle that a schedule and a few zzz’s can make in an entire family. She created her business- Little Bundles- to do just that! She would love to partner with you and empower you to be the best parents you can be in these early years of this amazing journey of parenthood!
April services the greater Charlotte area with occasional travel to outlying areas as well as multi-state/country phone and E mail support.
Travel fees may apply for In Home locations with over 1 hour of travel required.

I have been in the Triangle area for 14 years now and received degrees from UNC Chapel Hill and my BSN from Duke University. I am a Critical Care Nurse with 7 years of experience working with adults and I have been a Moms on Call consultant for 3 years now. I love my role partnering with families and working with infants. This challenge is very different from my adult patients but I have lived and breathed this method with my own two children. As a consultant I coach families through the process of sleep training, answer questions about anything baby-care related, offer encouragement and provide sound advice. No question is off limits! I am available for support locally but offer distance support packages as well! Feel free to check out my website for more information on my philosophies and why I love working with this population.

It has always been a dream and passion of mine to support both mom and baby after delivery. I remember the sleepless nights with a baby that had reflux and breastfeeding difficulties. My personal struggle has given me the passion to help moms with our night nursing, sleep coaching and lactation services. As a NICU nurse of 15 years I love to help guide moms smoothly from the hospital setting into their home.
