Helping and empowering families from day one with Moms on Call has been an incredible privilege and gift me. Our family dynamic was transformed when a MOC consultant came beside us and walked through this stage of life with us. What a joy it has been to turn around and do the same for you. I love every email, every question and every moment of watching a family find joy in the day to day with Moms on Call methods. As a nurse for over two years, soon to be midwife and mom myself I’ve realized it doesn’t matter how much you know or how much you learn, you need a good community of people to be beside you! Welcome to this sweet community. I look forward to walking with you.

Lauren, a former NICU nurse and one of the senior Moms on Call consultants is dedicated to supporting parents as they establish a strong foundation in parenthood. Her 10 years of training in a hospital setting not only provided her with expertise and experience but also a unique ability to naturally develop trusting relationships with families that extend beyond the first weeks after birth.
Becoming a trained Moms on Call consultant was a natural extension of Lauren’s connections with families. Bringing home a new baby can be overwhelming even for experienced parents. The information, guidance, and encouragement that Lauren personally shares with each family has proven to help parents feel at ease and more confident as they explore their relationship with their new baby.

Hi sweet families, my name is Candice Smith, I am a certified Moms on Call Consultant as well as a registered nurse for 12 years with a Masters in Nursing. During my twelve years as a registered nurse, I have worked in the special care nursery, pediatrics and mother-baby. I have a passion for empowering families through knowledge. Welcoming a new addition to your family is such an exciting time, and Moms on Call allows parents to take the guesswork out of schedules, feedings and allows infants to get the longest possible stretches through the night. Using the Moms on Call method eased my anxiety as a new mom and I would love to help other families benefit the way I did using this method.

I am a devoted wife to Ryan and Mama of my sweet girl, Lena, born August 2017. We are currently expecting a sweet baby boy due February 2021. I have loved being a registered nurse for nine years and have experience working with babies, children, and adults. This experience has afforded me the chance to work closely with patients and their families educating and encouraging them during an uncertain time in their lives.
One of my greatest joys as a nurse and Moms on Call consultant is the opportunity to build and foster relationships with families. My desire is to support parents in their journey to become confident and well rested in the midst of the chaos. I remember what it is like to feel exhausted and overwhelmed. But I also remember how encouraged I felt after reading Moms on Call and seeing it work so beautifully first hand with my own baby. Whether it’s showing you how to achieve the perfect swaddle or providing reassurance when nothing seems to be going “right,” I want to walk alongside you.

Shelley began her journey with children babysitting from a very early age, going on to work with children in day care while in high school, and then helping raise her sisters while working her way through college. Her love of children has always been in the forefront of everything she does. Shelley prides herself, not in just being a “Jill of all Trades,” but rather, a “Master of Many.” Shelley is the mother of three amazing and active children, and is most proud of the love that abounds in her home between this trio. With the support of her husband, Joseph, Shelley credits her ability to calmly navigate the “surprises” that arise in an active household to her years working as a Trauma Nurse in the only Level One Trauma Unit in the state of Mississippi. This and her time spent as an Orthopedic Nurse, prepared her for triaging tiny warriors, calming their fears, and keeping loved ones informed and educated. Shelley’s love of Christ and family, combined with a no-nonsense approach to the care and love of those who are searching and in need of support/guidance in parenting, make her a perfect choice when in need.

April is a wife, Momma of 4 kiddos, and has worked as a registered nurse for over 18 years in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Her dream even as a young child was to be a “baby nurse.” That dream was fulfilled when she graduated from ASU and had to opportunity to go straight into doing what she loved- working with babies. After a relocation in 2018 to the Charlotte, NC area- she discovered Moms On Call and was elated to partner with this amazing group of Nurses to continue working with families and their little ones, outside of the hospital setting. April knows firsthand, the excitement as well as the stress that bringing home a new baby can cause. Babies do not come with instructions, but having an experienced mom and nurse to walk along side you can make all the difference in the world during this time of adjustment! Having her own experience teaching her 4 kids healthy sleep habits early on, April has seen firsthand the miracle that a schedule and a few zzz’s can make in an entire family. She created her business- Little Bundles- to do just that! She would love to partner with you and empower you to be the best parents you can be in these early years of this amazing journey of parenthood!
April services the greater Charlotte area with occasional travel to outlying areas as well as multi-state/country phone and E mail support.
Travel fees may apply for In Home locations with over 1 hour of travel required.

I have been in the Triangle area for 14 years now and received degrees from UNC Chapel Hill and my BSN from Duke University. I am a Critical Care Nurse with 7 years of experience working with adults and I have been a Moms on Call consultant for 3 years now. I love my role partnering with families and working with infants. This challenge is very different from my adult patients but I have lived and breathed this method with my own two children. As a consultant I coach families through the process of sleep training, answer questions about anything baby-care related, offer encouragement and provide sound advice. No question is off limits! I am available for support locally but offer distance support packages as well! Feel free to check out my website for more information on my philosophies and why I love working with this population.

It has always been a dream and passion of mine to support both mom and baby after delivery. I remember the sleepless nights with a baby that had reflux and breastfeeding difficulties. My personal struggle has given me the passion to help moms with our night nursing, sleep coaching and lactation services. As a NICU nurse of 15 years I love to help guide moms smoothly from the hospital setting into their home.

With over 18 years of nursing experience, I have worked in pediatric cardiology, oncology, as well as general pediatrics. I have cared for the most sick and fragile of babies, to the snottiest of teenagers, and everything in between.
My husband and I had 3 daughters in 3.5 yrs, and all three were raised using the Moms on Call systems and routines. I don’t just know the routines – I have lived them.
I started my business, Simply Sleep and Solutions, so I could come alongside parents and help empower them to be the best parents they can be. Supporting them in their efforts to raise healthy, emotionally strong, and creative children.
Helping families customize schedules and routines that create simple and sustainable rhythms for their life is so fun and such an honor. Parenting is not a one size fits all, and I love getting to see the families I work with thrive as they parent in love and confidence.

I’m a mom to a little girl, a Registered Nurse with over seven years of experience in Labor and Delivery, OB/GYN, and Pediatrics, and a Certified Lactation Counselor. Ultimately, my goal is to equip you with confidence—I know your baby is capable of great sleep—and I can’t wait to help you get there!

Hi! My name is Emily. I am a proud mom, NICU Nurse, Certified CPR Instructor, Certified Moms on Call Baby & Toddler Sleep Consultant + Certified Lactation Counselor. I offer personalized consultations that will guide, encourage, and empower you throughout your parenting adventure with little ones. We will develop a healthy feeding and sleeping foundation with a personalized approach to create a happy and healthy family.
For babies, I am also able to help with feeding difficulties (breastfeeding or bottle feeding), reflux, gassiness, spitting up and much more. There are many transitions and developmental changes that happen the first year with your little one, so all support comes with 2-3 developmental forms sent directly to your inbox each month to guide and encourage through the upcoming transitions. With personalized support, I will remove all the guesswork, simplify parenting a baby and bring you peace of mind.
During the toddler years, I am so much more than just a sleep trainer! We will teach your child how to become an amazing little sleeper (for naptime and nights), but we will also cover communication techniques and parenting tips to help you feel less stressed and more effective as a parent to a toddler. I will be there to walk you step-by-step through tantrums, whining, the “no” stage, potty training, hitting, and more.
I love helping families get sleep with a personalized approach and unlimited support and encouragement along the way, plus much more!

I began my nursing career in 1995 with adult medical/surgical patients but quickly fell in love with pediatrics in 1996, when I went to work at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. I worked in the hospital and then a Pediatric Outpatient Surgery Center until 2009 when our family of four grew to a family of six with the birth of twin girls. The arrival of twins was also met with a move to Houston, Texas far from family and friends. It was at that point that I discovered Moms on Call, and it was life-changing for my family.
I had always had a passion for the education aspect of nursing, and I knew that I needed to share the wealth of knowledge that I had learned from Laura and Jennifer in Atlanta with the families in Houston. Therefore in 2011, I became a Moms on Call trained consultant and started my business, Confident Kiddos.
My goal is partner with families and help them be confident in the decisions they are making for their children. I hope to relieve the anxiety associated with being a new parent, so they can enjoy this time with their children. My experience as a pediatric nurse and a mother of four children allows me walk along side my clients in the challenging, tiring, and rewarding world of parenthood.
