Cassidy Richman, RN, BSN
Cassidy found her true passion shortly after having her first child. A fellow registered nurse was home with her first child and sought some much needed mom advice. After spending a few hours together chatting about all things baby she realized she had a lot of great experience and needed to share it with other moms who were questioning everything. Shortly after that she trained with Moms on Call. She now felt she had a platform and resources to help her reach others. She is now happily a mom of two, living in beautiful Savannah, Georgia. Still working as a registered nurse but deeply enjoys helping other moms find their Peaceful Beginnings.

June is a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with 43 years specializing in Pediatric care. She began her career at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery, Alabama ensuring young patients received proper medications and medical care. Currently she serves as a telephone triage nurse at Partners in Pediatrics Office in Montgomery, Alabama. Caring for children and their families is her passion and sparked her interest in “Moms on Call”. June discovered this program by accident while visiting her new granddaughter in Atlanta where she overheard two ladies at a local mall discussing a wonderful program they were using with their triplets. This program provided information and techniques on how to sooth your baby, as well as how to get your babies to sleep through the night sooner as opposed to later. Her love of children urged her to ask these ladies about the program and this is how June discovered Laura and Jennifer’s “Moms on Call”. She quickly registered for the training program so she could assist new mothers in learning how to comfort their new babies. Since then June has provided consultations to new mothers with resounding results.

Kristin K. Baker, RN, BSN
Baltimore, MD and Washington D.C. Area
Kristin is a Registered Nurse with almost 20 years of experience. She has worked predominately in the Neonatal ICU, but also has experience in healthcare recruiting, medical device training and support, as well as working as a nanny on the PGA tour. Kristin is the oldest of 3 children and has always loved babies. She grew up babysitting her younger brother and sister and almost all of the neighborhood kids. She knew from a very early age that she wanted to be a Nurse and work in pediatrics or neonatology. Kristin graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree and moved back to Atlanta. She was fortunate to start her nursing career in the NICU at Northside Hospital (Atlanta), where over 17,000 babies are born annually. That’s a lot of diaper changing! Kristin was introduced to Moms On Call after her best friend had a consult 10 years ago. Without hesitation, she called Laura and Jennifer to learn more about becoming a part of their incredible organization, and so the journey began. After getting married and having children of her own, Kristin recognized firsthand the demands that new parents are under. While parenthood is an incredibly wonderful, special and exciting time, it can also be exhausting and sometimes stressful. Babies do not come with a manual. There is so much to learn, and those first few months can be overwhelming. Kristin has thoroughly enjoyed her time with Moms On Call, meeting, educating and supporting parents as they transition to their new role. In addition to doing the consults, Kristin is also the President and Founder of Nurse and Nurture, the premier newborn night nursing provider in the South.

Her love of children has always been in the forefront of everything she does. With the support of her husband, Joseph, Shelley credits her ability to calmly navigate the “surprises” that arise in an active household to her years working as a Trauma Nurse in the only Level One Trauma Unit in the state of Mississippi. This and her time spent as an Orthopedic Nurse, prepared her for triaging tiny warriors, calming their fears, and keeping loved ones informed and educated. Merlyn Sweet, RN
Merlyn has over 40 years of nursing experience and can still recall her first day as a student nurse at Children’s Hospital of Oklahoma where she fell in love with Pediatric Nursing. She worked there for over 19 years. Five of these years were in the NICU and another five were in Children’s Emergency Room. It was during her experience at Children’s Hospital when she began to answer Nurse Calls that she realized Birthing Classes and Discharge Planning could not provide all the information and support needed parents needed to care for their children. As she was raising her own two wonderful daughters she found herself being questioned over and over by her patient’s parents on how to cope with the everyday details of taking care of a child. Her youngest daughter introduced Merlyn to the Moms On Call book and said, “Mom you could have written this book.” It was really not until her precious grandson was born that she knew it was time to become a trained Moms On Call Consultant. When Merlyn founded the Caring Nurses Association she knew she had to have a “Sweet Babies” department which utilizes the Moms On Call philosophy, methods, and techniques to provide support for parents. She provides these services in the greater Tulsa & Oklahoma City areas.

Liz Price, RN
Liz is blessed to have the two greatest jobs in the world: first, being a mom to the two most loving and incredible little boys, and second, working as a registered nurse for over 10 years in both high risk and newborn nurseries where she is able to take part in the delivery of the most precious gifts of all – babies.
With every delivery she attends she is reminded of the immediate love you develop for your baby and that there are no words to describe the intensity of this love. At the same time, she remembers her own personal experience bringing home a new baby. The sleepless nights and the anxious calls to the pediatrician in the weeks to follow at home with each one of her babies, both having reflux.
Through her journey as both a nurse and a mother, Liz found a great need for experienced in-home nighttime care for newborns throughout the Charleston area. In 2013 Liz started Nurse at Night, Charleston’s one and only newborn nighttime care provider. After starting the business she began to receive multiple requests for assistance with establishing a healthy sleep routine for infants. She then reached out to Moms on Call for direction. Since becoming a Moms on Call consultant, she has helped many families in Charleston by giving them the confidence and empowering them with the knowledge of proper infant care to assist them in raising a healthy and happy baby.
